With the Dynamics 365 Sales Navigator integration*, LinkedIn “InMail” can now be tracked as a regular activity.
Microsoft released the Sales Navigator integration recently as an added component of its Relationship Sales toolset. Prospecting with Dynamics 365 has never been more focused and productive.
The Send InMail button in Dynamics is located on the LinkedIn profile tab on the record it is enabled for (i.e. contact, lead, etc.).
When InMail is sent from LinkedIn, there is an option to copy the message to Dynamics 365 from there, also.
In either instance, a copy of the communication is recorded as an activity in Dynamics 365. This makes the activity measurable!
The InMail communication is seen in the timeline along with other activities tracked to the corresponding record.
Nucleus Research expects customers using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Dynamics 365 for Sales to see a 15% increase in sales productivity.

* LinkedIn Sales Navigator integrated functionality requires subscriptions to both Dynamics 365 and Sales Navigator. Customers with a Sales Navigator subscription can use their Dynamics 365 environment to enable the integrated features. A combination SKU is also available from Microsoft through PSC Group that combines D365 and Sales Navigator into one monthly subscription.
