Did you open Outlook recently and discover the Dynamics 365 app missing from your Outlook ribbon? It was just there yesterday!

Many obscure issues can occur that can cause the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook to disconnect and disappear, but thankfully there are a couple of simple ways to help re-enable it.

1. If you use Office 365 ProPlus, be sure that the “Enable optional connected experiences” setting is enabled:

  • Click File > Office Account > Account Privacy > Manage Settings.
  • Locate the setting: “Enable optional connected experiences”.
  • Confirm that this setting is enabled. If disabled, no add-ins will be displayed in Outlook.

2. When using Outlook, if you do not see the Dynamics 365 app appear when viewing a list of emails, but you do see the app when you open an email, verify that the Reading Pane is enabled. Outlook Apps, including the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook are intended to appear in the reading pane when viewing emails.
