Following the recently available public preview in early February, the spring 2018 launch for the latest iteration of Dynamics 365 for Marketing has been scheduled. The new Dynamics 365 module has been added to address the missing Marketing capabilities businesses need to round out the core CRM capabilities expected. The latest module has replaced the previously discontinued Microsoft Dynamics Marketing Pilot solution and is separate from the enterprise aimed Adobe Marketing Cloud integration available since 2015. Dynamics 365 for Marketing includes core Marketing, Event Management, Voice of the Customer surveys, Dynamics 365 Connector for LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, Dynamics 365 Portals and Dynamics 365 for Customer Insights.
The updated Marketing module’s functionality includes LinkedIn integration for account-based marketing and lead management directly connected to Linkedin. The module’s standard offerings include email Marketing, multi-channel campaigns supporting social/email/SMS and customer journey for nurture, lead scoring, landing page and form designer, event management, and Marketing analytics with PowerBI connected insights.
Dynamics 365 for Marketing is meant to integrate quite closely with the Dynamics 365 for Sales module to segment target and audience data for Marketing touches. Managing the relationships and touches in one place ensures there’s one source of information with visibility to every interaction with prospects and clients.
The new Marketing module flows seamlessly into CRM with the familiar Dynamics 365 UI that makes it easy to navigate and use. The interface powers the email, form and landing page design tool and customer journey planner as well to make the experience similar to creating CRM business process flows and forms. Ready-to-use configurable templates help make asset creation and lead imports less work too.
The module’s Event Management capabilities can utilize portal features to create, manage and promote online and onsite events with ON24. The tool can manage registrations (including online), logistics, sponsors and resources and ties in directly with registration and attendance history to nurture attendees and leads before and after each event.
Track Marketing analytics and campaign initiatives through the onboard dashboards and for advanced insights and visualizations, connectivity to Power BI is also possible. Voice of Customer surveys and tools help users mind ongoing customer needs and be aware of issues and solutions.
Keeping in mind this is the first generation of the latest Dynamics 365 Marketing offerings, the application’s features will continue to become more robust and integrated with the Dynamics 365 and Office 365 platforms.
