Fast information about contacts and users are easier than ever to review in the updated Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement’s Unified Interface with new profile cards. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 profile cards are similar to the cards in Outlook and office apps that help you collaborate with colleagues and contacts.
Details are revealed in a lookup in-line when you hover over the contact or owner fields on a record. You can click ‘Show More’ to expand the detail to the profile. Contact information is revealed from Dynamics 365 Common Data Service and user information is retrieved from Office 365 active directory. The Start Chat and Send Email options will open your default message and email apps. Currently, this hover feature is only available in the browser version of Dynamics 365 and the card fields are not customizable. Plans to extend the profile cards to other Dynamics 365 entities and enable customizations are expected in future updates.
